(Website and Social Media Campaign, 2022)
Anti-Israel activism is a common activity on college campuses, and continues to become more popular. Organizations like Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) falsely equate Zionism with racism and oppression (derived from former Soviet-backed UN Resolution 3379).
"This is What a Zionist Looks Like" documents the Zionist movement's history and details prominent figures and communities that contributed to Israel's emergence. I aimed to create a visually cohesive database about Zionism for students by redesigning the website and social media campaign branding.
Inviting audiences to share their connection to Zionism on a dedicated Instagram account, I sought to reveal the diversity of its adherents. Such personal narratives have amplified the virality and authenticity of the campaign.
One of the central features of the website is a timeline of Israel's history, made up of comprehensive infographics and articles published by CAMERA research analysts, campus advisors, and fellows. Future points of improvement include adding more information about events beyond Israel's independence in 1948, and making the site more mobile-friendly.
